Hermes F. Norero

President

Professional Engineer, Hermes F. Norero born in Santurce, Puerto Rico is a graduate of the Colegio Marista of Guaynabo. In 1998; he completed a Bachelor’s degree in engineering mechanics from the school of engineering of the Universidad del Turabo. During his time at our institution, he belonged to the Honors program and held internships at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in Barceloneta and Mechatronics in Rolla, Missouri. It was part of the student associations of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).

In research areas, he had the opportunity to attend Dr. Kurt Schulz of the Department of Naval Research testing on components made from carbon fiber landing gear of the plane Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet, with the Award for Minority Undergraduate Student; participating in Science Research. He also excelled in the sports line, competing in the disciplines of football and track and field, receiving the award for excellence in education of the Inter-university Athletic League (LAI).  Mr. Norero has credited degree in engineering mechanics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Without doubt, his academic development has been a preamble to today’s career and business success.

In more than 14 years of experience in the field of engineering, he has held key jobs as a Mechanical Design Engineer in RLR Advanced Automations Systems, Operations Manager of PTC, LLC and Mechanical Design Engineer and Project Manager at Rohwedder, Inc. His experience visiting various places in the United States, Europe and Asia has offered innovative ideas in engineering technology and design is concerned, taking him to design one of the first machines of solar coating for a leading manufacturer in the United States.

In 2007 he founded the engineering consulting firm, Building Drops, Inc., which he currently presides. This concept arose the need to provide excellent customer service and problem solving in conjunction with technology and engineering services to the market. Through this, it covers all aspects of mechanical design and project management, working with companies such as LLNL, Pratt and Whitney, Lockheed, NASA, and other major manufacturers. Mr. Norero has been able to grow its customer base and evolve, to a solid company of consulting engineering with locations in Florida, New York and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Mr. Norero is a licensed professional engineer in the States of Florida, Texas, Massachusetts, New York, Tennessee, Washington DC, Maryland, Georgia, and is in the process of obtaining those in other coastal States.

In addition to his vision as an entrepreneur and engineer, stands out through social responsibility, supporting entities as: Opportunity, Community, Ability, Inc. (OCA), which provides services and opportunities to children with autism and other special conditions. Lauren Kids, that promotes the prevention of child abuse and offers help to survivors and Little Lighthouse Foundation, bringing smiles to young people with limited resources in south Florida.
